The Dialogue has concluded. Feel free to read the summaries of each day's discussion, review the discussion archives, access resources in the library, and watch Paul Hill's audio/PowerPoint presentation.
This online event was held October 12 and 13, 2004. It proved to be an excellent forum for policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and others to engage with a group of knowledgeable and enthusiastic panelists on issues of traditional and non-traditional school choices.
Specifically, the dialogue focused on many of the issues raised in a recent report by the Brookings Institution’s National Working Commission on Choice in K-12 Education, "School Choice: Doing It the Right Way Makes a Difference." As background for each day's conversation, Commission Chairman Paul Hill provided a 14-minute audio/PowerPoint presentation about the report.
We are excited to offer this online resource as an archive of ideas and experiences shared on school choice.
