| A more appropriate question |

If there isn't differences in outcomes between methods of instruction, then why wouldn't the more appropriate question be why shouldn't the preferences expressed in Prop 227 be the proper choice? That would respect the will of the people of California and not hurt students. Some might even say that in a democracy, without some other basis in law, that to ignore the rule of democratically instituted laws is to undermine the constitutional basis of a society. Democratic societies can be wrong about things but can we be a nation of laws if obeying them is merely a matter of individual preference?
